This platform has been developed to support the ENVIROMED consortium’s mission to reshape pharmaceutical manufacturing through the introduction of cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable technologies.
Pharmaceuticals have improved people’s lives, but their impact on the environment is becoming a critical problem. ENVIROMED addresses this challenge by focusing on two key areas: the environmental impact of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and the long-term effects of pharmaceutical compounds throughout their lifecycle. Through scientific research, in-silico modeling, and advanced monitoring, the project aims to fill knowledge gaps, assess toxicity and persistence, and ultimately reduce environmental risks.
